Grace Dinners

Provides weekly meals to the community.   We serve home-cooked meals every Wednesday night from 5 – 6:30 PM. In the Fellowship Center.  We welcome new volunteers to help in this outreach effort.

Visitation Ministry

The LCM Visitation team helps to fulfill a ministry of encouragement and comfort and presence. Through this ministry we connect with the members of LCM, and reassure them that we, The Church, care for them and desire to be in a continued relationship for building each other up in the Holy Spirit.

The Visitation Team reaches out to those that are shut-in, hospitalized, and or otherwise unable to come to church any longer, but desire to remain a member of our family at LCM. We bring the Joy of the Lord and celebrate with them the sacrament of Holy Communion. We bring reassurance that together with their entire LCM family as part of the body of Christ, God loves them.

CSP Caring-Sharing-Praying Ministry

The CSP team helps to fulfill a ministry of encouragement and comfort and presence. Through this ministry we connect with the members of LCM, and reassure them that we, The Church, care for them and desire to be in a continued relationship for building each other up in the Holy Spirit.

The CSP Ministry makes an extra effort to contact each LCM member about three times a year to let them know that they are loved and cared for by LCM. They remind members to contact the LCM church office about any issues they are having, prayer requests, if they know of anyone who is sick or hospitalized so that Pastors know they can minister to and pray for them.

Additional Ministry Information

Seasoned in Life  (age 55+)

Seniors enjoy outings to places around the Twin City area such as the Science Museum or the Oliver Kelly farm. Annually, Seasoned in Life (SIL) does at least one service project (such as Feed My Starving Children).  

We welcome all seniors 55+ to check us out – just sign-up on the Communication cards in Sunday’s bulletins prior to our upcoming activities.

LILLIES (age 55+ Women)

LILLIES is a group at LCM Church of 55+ ladies who meet once a month from September through May to enjoy a program with a guest speaker and a dessert lunch.  We welcome visitors or new members any time.

LILLIES also collects coins during the year to contribute to the purchase of “first” Bibles for the 2nd graders in the LCM children’s program each year.  

Widows Fun Group

We are not a grief group but a social group of women with something in common; we’ve all suffered a loss but are moving forward.  When an event is planned, it is announced in the Sunday bulletin.

LCM Quilters

Our mission is to give support and comfort to those in need.  In this way, we share in God’s love to others.  Last year we received a grant from Thrivent to purchase batting and sheets for completing the quilts. The quilters also donated supplies as needed.  We do not receive funding from the church. 

Last year we donated 41 quilts and 36 receiving blankets to Bridging in Roseville, MN.  Also, quilts were donated to Sleep in Heavenly Peace and to the annual Craft and Bake Sale.  

We meet Mondays twice a month (Sept-May) at 9:30 AM in Luther Hall.

Prayer Shawl Ministries

The Prayer Shawl Ministry knits and crochets items for donations to various areas.  Last year items for the Robbinsdale Women’s Center and the VA were donated.  Many items are also donated for the annual Craft and Bake Sale.   

The group will even teach a newcomer how to knit!   Donations of supplies and coupons for Michael’s or JoAnn Fabrics are always welcome.

The Prayer Shawl Ministry meets every Sunday at 3 PM in the Lounge.
