Gift Tree
The mission of the Social Ministry Team is to extend Christian compassion and helpfulness to those in need. “Love your neighbor as yourself...” as a command from Jesus, is repeated several times in the Scriptures, and so our goal is to show the love of our Lord by ministering to the physical and emotional needs of our congregation and community. This can be accomplished by assisting people with food, clothing, furnishings, finances, rides, counseling, etc. and sometimes by just “being there” when someone is hurting. We wish to show people that God really loves and cares for them, whatever their situation.
The Social Ministry Team meets the first Tuesday every other month in the Lounge at 6 PM.
All are welcome to join the team any time! We look forward to sharing the blessings of Christ together!
